(UNIT 21) 7. Explanation of your prior experience of and learning around similar products

I have a few strengths when it comes to thrillers since i have watched quiet a few thriller trailers and movies. There are sub-genres that i have noticed such as action thriller and the film in particular is the mission impossible movies.
I also have an idea already which i just thought of while i was watching a few trailers. So one of my main strengths is to come up with thriller movies in my head quick and they would be good ideas which would be improved later.
In opening sequences, my main strength would be to understand what the sub-genre is and what the themes are of the movie and this would allow me to gain more information to create my own thriller sequence.
Another strength in opening sequences is that i know how to appeal to the audience in a thriller by knowing the specific age ratings of the theme and then trying to appeal it to my own thriller sequence so i can engage the audience and make them want to carry on watching the trailer and then go onto watching the movie.

In thrillers, i lack in trying to come up with thrillers other than supernatural thriller because that is what comes to my mind when i think of thrillers. So i would try and look more at other thrillers, something that is low budget so it can relate to my own thriller.
Another thing I lack in thrillers is that I can sometimes get mixed up with horror and thriller. There are some similar elements in both themes but they are different. In horror, we usually actually see the things that are going on and it doesn't want the audience to think. On the other hand, a thriller gets the audience engaged and wants the audience to think more as if they are in the movie themselves and work out/ investigate along with the protagonist.
In opening sequences, I lack in watching the full trailer. This would not help me to understand fully what genre/ sub-genre it is and wont help me in create my own thriller sequence to grab ideas from it. This is due to the fact that I get bored from the first few seconds if they aren't interesting so what I would need to do is to watch it fully to get an understanding of what the thriller is.

I will improve by watching more thriller movies and trailers to know more sub-genres and themes in trailers. This allows me to get ideas from them for my own trailer.
Ill also improve by getting to know the difference between thriller and horror and getting to spot them straight away by just watching the introduction
